A smarter job hunt space to track applications, recruiter outreach, and follow-ups in one place.
The problem
This is a problem I personally experienced while being on a job hunt.
As I started applying to more and more opportunities, I noticed that the challenge wasn't just finding jobs or applying to them — it was keeping track of everything that happened afterwards.
Some applications went through LinkedIn or company career pages, while others happened through cold emails to recruiters and hiring managers. After a while, I found myself struggling to remember which companies I had contacted, which role I had applied for, who I had emailed, whether they had replied, and when I should follow up.
Like many job seekers, I ended up relying on spreadsheets, emails, and my own memory. But as the number of applications increased, this became difficult to manage and easy to lose track of.
That made me think:
What if the job search itself could be tracked automatically?

The Solution
I explored the idea of a job-hunt assistant that connects the entire application journey in one place.
Instead of manually entering every application, the product could connect with Gmail and recognize job-related emails — identifying the company, role, recruiter, and date automatically. Applications from job portals or company websites could also be added to the tracker.
The product could then help users:
Track applications and cold outreach in one place
Detect duplicate applications or emails
Automatically identify recruiter responses
Move applications through stages such as Applied → Replied → Interview → Offer
Remind users when it's time to follow up
Draft personalised follow-up emails for approval
Show insights into which job-search methods are generating more responses
The idea isn't just to build another job tracker. It's about reducing the mental effort of managing a job search, so people can spend more time finding the right opportunities and less time remembering what they already did.
