What if Blinkit had a room for roommates?

What if Blinkit had a room for roommates?

A shared Blinkit space where flatmates can shop together and split the bill automatically.

The Problem

Living with flatmates often means shared grocery orders, but the process isn't really shared.

Someone asks on WhatsApp, “Anyone wants anything from Blinkit?” Everyone replies at different times, one person places the order, and then comes the difficult part - figuring out who owes what.

The grocery order might take five minutes, but tracking everyone's items and settling the bill later can turn into another task altogether.

The Solution

What if Blinkit had a shared Room for people living together?

A user could create a room for their flat, invite their flatmates, and start a shared order directly from the Blinkit homepage. Everyone could add their own items to the group bag, see what others are ordering, or simply respond with “I'm good.”

Once the order is ready, Blinkit could automatically calculate each person's share based on the items they added. Instead of one person paying the entire bill and settling it later through Splitwise, everyone pays their own share at checkout.

One room. One order. One less thing to split later.
